Let me introduce myself. . .
I’m a veteran broadcast radio personality. It's been my privilege and honor to have occupied the “air chair” at NBC’s WRC Washington, DC, RKO’s
WRKO Boston, at what was then Bartell Media’s WDRQ Detroit and KSLQ St. Louis, as well as WDRC Hartford, CBS’ KRLD Dallas and The
Dallas Morning News’ WFAA. In addition to the “on air" positions I’ve also been
a Promotion/Production Director, Music Director and Program Director. Creating effective, entertaining station promos and image packages, as well as crafting on target commercials for local sponsors are high challenge / reward ratio projects.
Voiceover… is one of the most competitive fields on the planet! Here in SoCal we’re on the cutting edge... in every way. Naturally the challenge is to stay current and keep the skill set sharp. To that end regularly attending in-person workshops & classes is a must. The V-O Gurus at Aliso Creek, Edge Studio, Kalmenson & Kalmenson and Marc Cashman are the best. IMHO.
Formal education: Electrical and Broadcast Engineering.
Representation: Idiom Talent Worldwide.

begins with the acknowledgement that as a voice artist and as a producer, I become part of a team in a collaborative process of image & brand building, as well as product demand creation and packaging. Ask any real estate agent: What sells the house? And they’ll emphatically proclaim; it’s the curb appeal and staging! In other words, it’s the packaging that sells.
Reading the script is only part of the process and naturally not every script, or part, is right for every artist/actor. Voiceover artists/actors are, if only in a transient way, entertainers and do their best work when invested in a project. I become invested in a project when I’m presented with a script that triggers my imagination & fills the stage in the theater of my mind, elicits a visceral & emotional response and compliments or is adaptable to my natural organic range.
As producer the task is to work with the team to bring the script, from initial conception through to a fully produced media ready marketing package. In this role collaboration brings the process full circle. I bring this understanding and skill to the table. After all, what we’re about here is creatively – effectively marketing our clients’ message.
